The Department of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology (DHERST) launched the 2026 new intake online selection for the University of Goroka and other universities and colleges on 17 December 2025. The official list will then be published on 23 December 2025. After this, the University of Goroka will upload the full 2026 Selection List PDF on its website.
Students can also check their individual selection status by logging into their DHERST NOAS accounts.
Here is what DHERST said:
National Selections for this year’s cycle will be conducted online on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025. Students can view their NOAS accounts for personal updates. Publication of results will be made available on this page on 23rd December, 2025.
Scholarship status for selected, first year students (in 2026 academic year), will also be published with the 2025-2026 Selection publication list.
Admission and Registration information will be communicated to selected students after January 2nd, 2026 onward.

- Successful applicants will receive offer letters directly from UoG and may be eligible for TESAS scholarships from January
- Unsuccessful applicants will remain in the NOSS Admissions Pool for potential consideration.

Important Information for Successful Applicants
The University of Goroka (UOG) will send your application and acceptance details directly to you. Please review this information carefully once received.
You should also check your TESAS (Tertiary Education Student Assistance Scheme) eligibility in the National Selection List and on the NOAS platform (apply.dherst.gov.pg) by the third week of January 2026 for scholarship information.
For Applicants Not Selected
If you are not selected, your application will remain in the National Online Selection System (NOSS) Admissions Pool. You may still be considered for admission if UOG has available places.
Applicants are advised to regularly check the MyStatus section of their NOAS accounts between December 2025 and March 2026.
If your GPA is below 2.0, you may wish to consider upgrading your academic results to improve your chances in future applications.
