The NOAS new intake list for the University of Papua New Guinea was launched by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology (DHERST) on on the 17th of December 2925, and hinted to have published the PDF listings on the 23rd December, 2025! That means that UPNG will publish its full Selection List 2026 PDF on its website after the marked date, so keep an eye out for it in January 2026. Note that individual student selection status is available on students’ DHERST NOAS accounts.
Here is what DHERST said:
National Selections for this year’s cycle will be conducted online on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025. Students can view their NOAS accounts for personal updates. Publication of results will be made available on this page on 23rd December, 2025.
Scholarship status for selected, first year students (in 2026 academic year), will also be published with the 2025-2026 Selection publication list.
Admission and Registration information will be communicated to selected students after January 2nd, 2026 onward.

UPNG Selection List 2026 PDF Download
Wednesday, 7th January update: The University of Papua has released the 2026 school leavers and non-school leavers acceptance list. Here is the direct (download) link.
National Selection will be conducted (Launched) on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025
DHERST will publish the UPNG 2026 selection list PDF for download on 23rd December, 2025.
Successful applicants will receive offer letters directly from UPNG and may be eligible for TESAS scholarships from January
Unsuccessful applicants will remain in the NOSS Admissions Pool for potential consideration.
A GPA below 2.0 may limit pool consideration; upgrading your Grade 12 marks can increase your chances. If you want to re-check your marks with MSD, here is how to do it.
Important Information for Successful Applicants
UPNG will forward your application details to you with specific acceptance details.
Check your TESAS (Tertiary Education Student Assistance Scheme) eligibility in the National Selection List and on the NOAS platform (apply.dherst.gov.pg) by the third week of January 2025 for scholarship access details.
For Applicants Not Selected
Your application remains in the National Online Selection System (NOSS) Admissions Pool. You may be considered for admission if UPNG hasn’t filled its quota.
Check your MyStatus section on NOAS from December 2025 to March 2026.
If your GPA is below 2.0, consider an academic upgrade for future applications. Remember, your educational journey can continue!
